Wellesley’s Fuller Brook Park update, early winter

December 17, 2016 by Deborah Brown Leave a Comment

The following is from the DPW, Engineering division. All photo credits to DPW:

For the past two months the contractor has been working to complete several loose ends in the Grove Street to Dover Road section of the park. They have been finishing knotweed removal operations on some streambanks, including the installation of the black geomembrane for growth suppression, and clearing, grading, seeding, and installing a woodland mulch in upland knotweed areas. They have been installing road end drainage and curbing at the dead end streets abutting the park at Tappan St., Benton St., Winthrop Rd., Vane St., and Appleby Rd. Also, they have constructed new paths connecting these streets with the main Brook Path.
