Dayton Home has closed down the furniture and interior design showroom that it opened in 2012 in a large portion of what had been the old Wellesley Hills Whole Foods space.
A note sent to customers reads: “The closing of the retail showroom in Wellesley Hills is bittersweet… I am sad as I say farewell to my retail store which will close permanently on January 20th, 2017. Although that is a big change, the one service that will remain the same is our ability to service interior design clients
Some had hoped that the former Whole Foods space, vacated by the grocer to move into the old Star Market space next to the Hunnewell Fields, would have been occupied by Trader Joe’s. But instead, Dayton Home and a bank swallowed up the space.
