This from the Wellesley College Theatre Department:
On Thursday, January 19, theater artists and friends will gather in groups large and small across the US to participate in The Ghost Light Project. This event, highlighting a shared, ongoing commitment to social justice, will take place outside Wellesley College’s Alumnae Hall at 5:30. We invite everyone in the community to join us in this act of solidarity as we look toward the future. Please bring a light source (cell phone lights work!) or we will provide such. We will have a brief ceremony, a lighting of the “ghost light” and a few shared moments as well as some brief readings. It will last about 20 to 30 minutes and will be followed by light refreshments in the Alumnae Hall inner lobby. Please come and bring friends. For any further information please contact me Nora Hussey, Director of Theatre and Theatre Studies, 781-283-2029.
