The Town of Wellesley has once again set up 3 ice skating rinks at the outdoor basketball court near the track at Wellesley High School. The project is a joint effort between the Wellesley Recreation Department, firefighters, the DPW, Natural Resources Commission and more. Rec’s Matt Chin shares more details in the Wellesley Public Media video below.
Lighting for the rinks is available, too, in 1-hour increments until 9:30pm.
As of Monday, Jan. 9, only the smallest rink was open, but the town hopes to have all 3 rinks up and running by next week.
Remember to bring your own skates. Taking along a shovel/broom is a good idea too in case there’s any snowfall.
