The recently created Wellesley Action Alliance (WAA), a group of Wellesley residents committed to creating a safer community through awareness and education, will hold its first community meeting on Wednesday, February 8, 7pm, at the Wellesley Community Center. All members of the community interested in issues of safety in Wellesley are invited to attend.
WAA members attended the last School Committee meeting to stand up and be heard during Citizens Speak. WAA Co-chair Joelle Reidy says, “We wanted to make sure they knew that there are people in Wellesley who are ready to have these conversations about safety in our schools and in our community. More specifically, we asked for visibility to the comprehensive safety plan (beyond building improvements). We deserve to know specifics from the top down.”
