The Wellesley Historical Society will be doing something different for its annual spring fundraiser on Friday, May 5 in presenting a baseball-themed event featuring a panel discussion with Wellesley resident and Red Sox President Sam Kennedy.
The event, including a live auction and ballpark-style dinner, will take place from 6-9pm at Wellesley Country Club. Wellesley Historical Society supporters will be receiving invitations to the event, but tickets can also be purchased online.
Local sports reporter Mike Dowling will moderate the panel, titled “Looking Back on America’s Favorite Pastime.” In addition to Kennedy, Boston Sports Museum curator Richard Johnson and The Sports Hub radio program co-host Tony Massarotti will be on the panel.
Sponsorship and advertising opportunities available. Contact Executive Director Erica Dumont for more information: (781) 235-6690 or director@wellesleyhistoricalsociety.org
Net proceeds from the Looking Back on America’s Favorite Pastime event will support the Historical Society’s scholarships for Wellesley High students, collections support/management, and help defray operating expenses.
