Cardinal Seán Patrick O’Malley swung by St. John School in Wellesley last week to help the students, parents and teachers of the parochial school celebrate its 50th anniversary of providing a Catholic education for students in pre-school – grade 6. For those who aren’t familiar with the Catholic church hierarchy, having a Cardinal visit is a very big deal, particularly one as well-loved in the Boston Archdiocese as Father Seán, as he is called by the faithful.
Father Seán is quite a blogger in his own right — he shares his reflections, experiences, and lots of pictures with regular updates.
Here are a few pics of his visit (photo credits: Beth Shedd of PhotOptimist).
And Fr. Jim, pictured at the back left of the second photo, has been a wonderful addition to the St. John/St. Paul Collaborative and Wellesley’s Catholic community!
