It was a kitten, puppy, flowers, rainbow kind of day in Wellesley and beyond

I literally had a kitten, puppy, flowers, and rainbow kind of day in Wellesley and Boston yesterday. It’s that time of year when it seems like every family in town is adding a pet to the madness that is their daily lives, and it wasn’t hard to find a couple of people willing to let me take pictures of the adorableness. After the kitty-doggy fun, I headed down to the annual Boston Flower & Garden Show at the Seaport World Trade Center through Sunday, March 26.

Wellesley puppy
Meet Ellie, a 10-week old Australian Labradoodle. Total cuteness overload.

Wellesley kitten
This is Swiff, a 4-month old precious, long-haired kitty, who is a genius at finding long-lost dust bunnies.

Boston Flower & Garden Show
Boston Flower & Garden Show is the place to go to escape all the snow and cold that is our current reality. The show runs through Sunday, March 26.

Wellesley’s own Massachusetts Horticultural Society showed how easy gardening in raised beds can be. They practice what they preach, as you can see on the grounds at Elm Bank Reservation, located at 900 Washington St., Wellesley, where they maintain an extensive raised-beds garden. Oh, and look closely — you’ll see the rainbow part of my day.
