PLEASE JOIN US AT ST. ANDREW’S FOR EVENSONG on the first Sunday of Lent, March 5 at 5pm, to hear the exquisite 16th century anthem by Thomas Tallis, The Lamentations of Jeremiah. Tallis lived through the small pox epidemic of 1562 which rendered Queen Elizabeth I bald and pox marked. He also lived through the plague of 1563-wiping out a quarter of the population of London-as well as the Reformation which ripped the fabric of religious life asunder. Miranda Loud will be our guest organist and refreshments will follow.
