Wellesley Public Schools performing arts director resigns

Dr. Sabrina Quintana, the Wellesley Public Schools Director of Performing Arts who was hired during the summer of 2015, has tendered her resignation effective June 30.

As we wrote when WPS hired Quintana away from Texas, she was actually returning to familiar territory in Wellesley, having attended school at Boston University and taught in Winchester.

But Quintana in her resignation letter wrote that she’s leaving “to pursue other career opportunities and want to give Wellesley P.S. enough time to hire a new Performing Arts Director.

It has been my sincere pleasure to get to know teachers, students, administrators, parents, and community members here in Wellesley.  I have been grateful for this opportunity and wish everyone the very best.”
