Volvo of Wellesley employees soon get to watch the Patriots live — or do whatever else people do on Sundays

While you can still head out onto Rte. 9 or the Rte. 1 Automile to go car shopping in person on Sundays, your options in Wellesley will soon be more limited.

Bernardi Auto Group has announced that all of its dealerships — including Volvo of Wellesley on Rte. 9 east — will be closed for sales on Sundays beginning April 2.  Bernardi says the change was made “to enhance life/work balance for a traditionally long-hour, 6-7 day-a-week job.”

If you really must hunt around a local car lot on Sundays, note that Wellesley Volkswagen on Linden Street and Wellesley Mazda and Wellesley Toyota on Rte. 9  are all open on Sunday afternoons. But maybe you should really take a cue from Bernardi and save your Sundays for something else.
