In conjunction with its ongoing Spring Art Exhibit at the Wellesley Community Center, the Wellesley Society of Artists will be sponsoring an art demonstration called “Making Waves, Creating Translucency and Movement in Water,” on Sunday, April 30, by Cape Cod artist Odin Smith.
According to the WSA: “Smith is known for her ability to capture the landscape in a unique manner in acrylics, pastel, and watercolor. Her artistic process is greatly inspired by her love for the beauty of the land, sea and sky, and the endless sources of subject matter that surround her. Her paintings are frequently inspired by the beautiful Cape Cod images that have imprinted themselves on her senses since she was a small child.”
On April 30, a reception and refreshments will begin at 1:30, followed by the art demonstration. The demonstration is free and open to the public and will be held at the Wellesley Community Center, 219 Washington St.
