Wellesley High School’s Global Giving Club will be holding its Yellow Fever Charity Gala at the Wellesley Community Center on April 29 12:30-2:00pm.
Club members will run a number of fun and engaging educational activities focused on the importance of yellow fever vaccination distribution, especially in parts of the world that have been recently affected by the disease, such as Brazil and Angola. Activities include simulations, trivia, and a raffle. Snacks will be provided, too.
During the event, there will also be opportunities to donate to this cause; all proceeds, including money collected from the $5 entrance fee, will be donated to the Gates Foundation’s and the World Health Organization’s work in yellow fever advocacy and aid across the globe.
