Join local residents and the Wellesley Department of Public Works on Saturday, April 29, 8am – 3pm for a Beebe Meadow Appreciation and Clean-Up day. “The town has put a lot of effort and time into removing a lot of hazard trees and invasive plants, and now the meadow could use a little more targeted TLC,” says organizer Joan Minklei. Here’s all the information:Volunteers will be pulling and cutting invasive plants, picking up trash, trimming dead limbs, and removing a lot of the debris to a dumpster the town will be providing. Please park on Kenilworth or Kenilworth Circle or Lehigh. Do NOT park on Cartwright (too narrow).

If you are coming to work, you will probably want to wear:
— Clothing appropriate to the weather
— Geeky white or light colored socks pulled up over the bottom of your pants OR wear tall boots
— Garden Gloves
— A hat if it’s sunny
— BUG SPRAY

Please bring if you can:
— garden gloves or even dishwashing gloves (xmas tree shop and dollar stores have them cheap)
— clippers, pruners, rake, loppers, hand saws (PLEASE MARK all you tools with your name!)
