Wellesley Choral Society concludes its season with a concert featuring two gems of Baroque music on Sunday, May 21 at 4pm at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills, 309 Washington St. The works to be performed will be the Gloria, RV 588 by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1714) and the seldom-performed Gloria in D by Giovanni Maria Ruggieri (1665-1714, dates uncertain).
The Wellesley Choral Society is joined for this concert by the Milton Academy Chamber Singers. The singers are accompanied by a professional orchestra, which will divide into two groups for the Ruggieri piece.
The Choral Society has donated a limited number of free tickets to Wellesley senior citizens who may pick them up at the Council on Aging, 219 Washington St. Please call 781-235-3561 first to make sure tickets are still available.
The church of the Unitarian Universalist Society is handicapped-accessible and there is ample free parking in the church lot and on the street. Tickets may be purchased at the door: $20 general admission, $15 students and seniors, free under 12 years old.
