From the Wellesley Town Band:
The band has grown and the audience has grown; so this year’s free spring concert of the Wellesley Town Band is moving to Wellesley High School’s Katherine L. Babson, Jr. Auditorium.
Music Director Henry Platt will drop the baton on Sunday May 7 at 3pm, leading the band in its most ambitious program yet. With music ranging from the Russian Steppes to some of Holywood’s best, from 18th century propriety to echos of a swinging Sinatra, there should be music for all. And of course this being a traditional concert band, there will be at least a couple of
vigorous American marches to set everyone’s feet to tapping.
Just as in every past concert of Wellesley’s band since its founding in 2014, refreshments will be served.
