Located across the street from 21 Crown Ridge Rd., Wellesley this woodland garden sanctuary is maintained to preserve wild flowers, plants and trees and is open year round for the enjoyment of all. I swung by in wintery mid-May, before things were really blooming, for a sneak peek as seen in the video below.
Donated to the Wellesley Conservation Council in 1977 by Mrs. Gertrude Cronk in memory of her husband, the Woodland is one of ten sanctuaries held in trust by the WCC.
Come learn more about the flowers and trees that grow in the high rocky areas of our town and about the woman who gave her garden to us.
The Open Garden will be held rain or shine.
Closed shoes are recommended.
