Monday was quite the wild night of baseball. While I was busy at Fenway watching the Red Sox knock off the Phillies in 12 innings and keeping an eye on the Major League Baseball draft to see when my Florida friend’s son would get selected (Cash Case, 5th round pick, Cincinnati Reds), Wellesley High Sophomore Henry Weycker pitched a complete game shutout in Lynn to lead the Raiders over Lowell by a 1-0 score and set up a showdown vs. Taconic on Saturday at Holy Cross for the Division 1 title. Senior Jack Waisel’s sac fly scored Brendan Dolan, who had reached base on a double in the sixth.
