When we reported last October that you could bank on a bank moving in to the former La Riviera restaurant space at 390 Washington St., the only thing we didn’t know is what institution would be going into the corner spot. But now we know it will be a Citizens Bank branch.
The new branch will be in addition to the one in Linden Square next to Roche Bros.
Meanwhile, for those of you hard up for money in this relative bank desert area of Wellesley, there is a Bank of America branch less than a quarter of a mile east of the future Citizens location.

Imagine having a space that prominent, yet only being open for business during….bankers hours. Yeesh. What a letdown.
Well, at least we got the creperie that I suggested back in October (sort of – Crepeberry’s menu crepe menu is a bit limited because of their philosophy). I would like to see some of the traditional crepes over there.
Ugh…another boring reason not to stop. Why are we seeing so many real estate offices & banks opening here in Wellesley??
