Wellesley Fuller Brook Park update, early summer

July 2, 2017 by admin 1 Comment

The following is from the DPW, Engineering division. All photo credits to DPW:

The contractor has been back on site this spring to complete a few outstanding items of work and to complete restoration of park areas disturbed by construction. The major item of work remaining is installation of drainage improvements on Cottage St.

The Town has accepted the part of the project extending from Maugus Ave. to Wellesley Ave. as complete, and the Park Department has taken over maintenance responsibilities of areas that were part of the contractor’s work. Our goal is to complete all contract work and achieve acceptance of the entire project by October 31 of this year. It has been a long process but park improvements have been well received by park users and abutters.

The following photos show some of the site restoration work from this spring.

Looks great. Thanks for treating some of the poison ivy between Forest and Paine Sts. Much appreciated. I enjoy walking on it every day!!
