Wellesley mourns Jeremy Simon, 21, recalled for insights, bursts of energy

July 6, 2017 by admin 1 Comment

As shared by the Simon family:

Jeremy Simon, Wellesley, 2017Jeremy Theodore Simon, born on Dec. 18, 1995, died in an accident on July 4, and is survived by his parents, Alan and Diana, and his sisters, Hannah and Sarah. As a child, he was a beautiful little boy with a head of golden curls who was doted upon and adored by the whole family. He attended Wellesley Public Schools and spent his last two years of high school at the Cambridge School of Weston, where he found deep kinship with teachers and friends and developed the interests and passions (for reading, writing, music, movies) that would shape him as a person. He continued on to Kenyon College for a year, and was most recently living in Allston. Jeremy combined thoughtfulness and love of learning with an absurd and delightful sense of humor. He delighted and amused those lucky enough to have been close to him with his antics and bursts of energy, and at the same time enlarged our spirits with his insights and ideas.

We love him fully and will miss him deeply. We wish we could know the man he would have become.

A memorial service will be held at Temple Beth Elohim (10 Bethel Rd, Wellesley Hills) on Friday July 7th at 10:30 AM.

    Alan and Family,
I am so sad to hear of Jeremy’s passing. While I did not know Jeremy, I know Alan. If he was anything like his father he must have been a special, intelligent and caring person.
Please let me extend my most sincere sympathy and hope that you will regain peace in your lives.
    Steve Villani
