Wellesley’s Michael Heffernan and Chris Harding have been assigned new and greater responsibilities within Gov. Charlie Baker’s administration in light of Chief of Staff Steven Kadish stepping down this week.
Kadish, who told the Globe that he’d “run out of gas,” is being replaced by Baker’s top finance aide Kristen Lepore. Her promotion has paved the way for Heffernan, currently Commissioner of the Department of Revenue, to be the next Secretary of Administration and Finance. Baker calls Heffernan a “terrific numbers guy” in the Globe article.

Chris Harding, Chief of Staff at the Department of Revenue, will move into Heffernan current spot, with all the leadership changes effective Aug. 14.
