Yvonne Unger and Nancy Present-Van Broekhoven will exhibit their watercolors throughout September at the Wellesley Public Library in a show called “Nature, Naturally” that reflects the inspiration they find in the everyday world of nature.  This will be the second time the artists have collaborated in exhibiting  their work.

Unger paints primarily on aquaboard, a surface created by bonding a thin layer of clay to a Masonite panel.  Once the work is completed, a polymer varnish is applied for water resistance and protection from ultraviolet damage.  Present-Van Broekhoven, while painting primarily on watercolor paper, often adds ink, rice paper, fiber paste and even feathers to her work.

The artists will be hosting a reception open to the public on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 2-4pm in the Wakelin Room of the Wellesley Free Library at 530 Washington St.
