Wellesley Police log: erratic driver thought she was in New Hampshire; an axe goes missing

Arrests

On July 24, 2017 at 6:43 p.m. Officer Keenan was dispatched to the area of Washington Street for a report of an erratic operator who may have been involved in a hit and run motor vehicle crash.  The vehicle was stopped in the area of Central Street at Crest Road.   Officer Keenan spoke to the operator, and noted that her speech was slurred she thought she was in New Hampshire and there was significant damage to the front passenger side of her vehicle.  The driver took and failed three field sobriety tests.   During the motor vehicle inventory an open bottle of vodka was found on the floor of the vehicle.  When she initially stopped and asked for her identification she indicated she did not have it with her and provided the officer with a false name.  She was taken into custody, transported to the station, booked in the usual manner, afforded all rights and held on bail

On July 28, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. Officer DiCenso and other officers served an arrest warrant issued by Dedham District Court for Possession of Class A Drugs and Possession of a Dangerous weapon.  The suspect was located at his residence, taken into custody, transported to the station, booked in the usual manner, afforded all rights and transported to Dedham District Court.

On July 29, 2017 at 10:49 a.m.  Officer Cunningham and other officers served an arrest warrant issued by Dedham Superior Court for a Wellesley man.  The warrant was issued for a probation violation.  He was located at his residence, taken into custody, transported to the station, booked in the usual manner, afforded all rights and held without bail.

Incidents

On July 24, 2017 at 9:55 a.m. Officer Joseph spoke with a female party at the police station in regards to a lost passport.  The reporting party stated she lost the passport sometime between July 18th and July 24th.  She was not sure where it was lost.

On July 25, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. Officer Dixon was dispatched to a residence on Rutgers Road for a report of a truck being parked at a residence that was currently vacant.  The reporting party provided a vehicle description and registration for the vehicle.   Upon officers response there was no vehicle present.  The vehicle was located on Worcester Street near Oakland Street and stopped near Cedar Street.  The operator of the vehicle indicated that he was a contractor working on the residence on Rutgers Road.   He had information to confirm this. 

On July 26, 2017 at 10:42 p.m. Officer Griffin spoke with a male party from Homestead Road about identity theft.  The report is not complete at this time and no further information is available.

On July 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Officer Lindelof spoke with a resident from Oak Street about a fraud incident.  The report is incomplete at this time and no further information is available.

On July 28, 2017 at 2:15 p.m. Officer R. Poirier was dispatched to a residence on Cleveland Road for a report of a theft of a tool from the property.  He stated on July 26th he was doing some work on the property and left an axe outside and when he returned on July 28th the axe was missing.  There are no suspects.

On July 29, 2017 at 12:39 a.m. Officer Amalfi was dispatched to the police station to speak with a male party about a wallet that was stolen from a locker at the Boston Sports Club sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on July 28th.   He stated the wallet contained his license and one credit card.  He had cancelled the credit card.  There are no suspects.
