Please don’t shoot the messenger: Another realtor will soon be filling a Wellesley storefront.
Nothing against what we assume are fine folks at Laer Realty Partners, which has about two dozen offices located mostly in Massachusetts, but the outfit is about to open a new location at the Belclare complex’s slow-to-fill retail space on Washington Street.
Pucker Gallery, which has been exhibiting international modern and contemporary art for 50 years, had planned to move into the space, but has put such plans on hold at this time.
This isn’t the first time a business has flirted with moving into the Belclare retail space. Fancy clothes retailer David Chase gushed in a November 2014 press release about bringing two of his eponymous shops to town, possibly as soon as Spring of 2015, but that never panned out.
However, eyeware shop Agnes Vision looks to still be plotting its arrival soon, and a couple of other spaces remain open.
Meanwhile, construction has begin inside the old Blue Ginger site across the street, which will soon be a Smith & Wollensky steakhouse.
