Cub Scouts with Pack 185 in town visited the Wellesley College’s Whitin Observatory over the weekend. The Scouts were hosted by college senior Carol Hundal and her classmates, for an evening of fun learning.
Seen in the back row of this photo, the college students dressed as pirates to help explain how celestial navigation is used to travel the seas. They passed around actual meteorites and also pointed their large telescope into the heavens as the clouds conveniently parted upon the scouts’ arrival.
These and other scouts had a busy weekend, as they also collected food on Saturday morning to support the Wellesley Food Pantry.
