Wellesley Gardeners’ Guild raffle could make your holidays a little easier

November 4, 2017 by Deborah Brown Leave a Comment

Last year’s Grand Prize winner of the Wellesley Gardeners’
Guild Deck the Halls Raffle. Work done by NatureWorks Landscaping.
Love the light post greenery.

The Wellesley Gardeners’ Guild will be selling tickets for its annual “Deck the Halls” raffle at the shopping event of the season — the Wellesley Marketplace — on Saturday, November 11 (Veterans Day) at Wellesley High School, 9am – 4pm. Tickets are $20 each, and only 300 tickets will be sold. Winning homes must be located within 15 miles of Wellesley. The drawing will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 3:45 p.m. at the Wellesley Marketplace. Winners need not be present.

The grand prize winner will have the exterior of their home meticulously decorated for the holidays by NatureWorks. This prize, valued at over $2,500, includes a consultation by a NatureWorks seasonal decor designer. Other prizes include holiday planters for your front entrance, delivered right to your front door, designed and created by Blade of Grass (a $500 value); and a beautiful evergreen centerpiece for your holiday table, by Posies of Wellesley (a $150 value). Work is limited to residences located within a 15-mile radius of Wellesley.

The Wellesley Gardeners’ Guild, founded in 1968, beautifies the community by planting and maintaining the window boxes and floral containers at the Wellesley Square and Wellesley Hills Post Offices as well as the Wellesley Free Library. Plantings are updated each Spring, Summer, Fall, and Holiday season. All proceeds from this raffle will benefit the club’s civic projects.
