WHS Athletic Director John Brown said “This signing was a big deal,” noting that these were the first Letters of Intent signed at Wellesley High in more than 10 years. Thomas Claiborne, from the Class of 2006, signed on to play football at Boston College.
While many WHS athletes go on to play college sports, Letter of Intent signings are rare here.
Ahonen and Chicoski have been lacrosse teammates for the Raiders. Ahonen also runs cross country and indoor track, while Chicoski also plays soccer. Both played basketball as freshmen and sophomores.
