Wellesley Police log for week of 11/6/17-11/12/17
(The police issued the log a tad early on this Thanksgiving week.)
Protective custody
On November 17 at 5:49 p.m. Officer DiCenso was dispatched to Barton Road for an intoxicated male that had arrived at a resident’s apartment unannounced. The resident did not want the party there. The male party was very unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred and he was combative with officers. He was unable to provide officers with the name and phone number of a responsible party to take custody of him. He was taken into protective custody and held until he was able to contact a friend who agreed to take responsibility for him.
Incidents
On November 13, 2017 at 10:25 a.m. Officer Kane was dispatched to a residence on Willow Street for a report of vandalism to her vehicle which occurred between 10:00 p.m. on November 12th and 6:30 a.m. on the 13th. There was a large red pain scrape along the front passenger side of the vehicle. There are no suspects.
On November 16, 2017 at 11:27 a.m. Officer K. Poirier spoke with a male reporting party about an internet scam. The reporting party stated he responded to an ad on Craigslist for Celtics tickets and paid $500 for two tickets. He stated the seller never provided the tickets. He attempted to contact the seller several times without success. Officer K. Poirier is investigating.
On November 16, 2017 at 3:39 p.m. Officer K. Poirier spoke with a male reporting party who stated on October 14th he parked his vehicle in a lot on Linden Street and his iPad was stolen from the vehicle. He believed his vehicle had been left unlocked while it was parked. There are no suspects.
On November 17, 2017 at 11:26 a.m. Officer Lindelof spoke with a male party at the police station about identify theft. The report is incomplete at this time and no further information is available.
On November 17, 2017 Detective Gallagher assisted the Dedham Police Department with an investigation. The report is incomplete at this time and no further information is available.
