I had a better excuse than usual this AM for being late for a kid pick-up, finding myself in the line of vehicles stopped behind this car fire. While I was in no position to take photos or videos myself, the Wellesley Fire Department did.
Wellesley Fire took some dramatic video at a two car crash this morning on Rt 9 west just after Rt 95. No one was injured and the fire was extinguished quickly. pic.twitter.com/LqeGJPtsDP

It’s been an especially harrowing week on the Rte. 9 obstacle course/road in Wellesley.
Wellesley Police are investigating a head-on collision involving a wrong-way driver on Rte. 9 near Upwey Road that took place just after midnight on Dec. 15.
Officers found two vehicles with significant damage, and one driver trapped in his car that required the Wellesley Fire Department to use the jaws of life. Both drivers were injured but the injuries didn’t appear life threatening.

Route 9 in Wellesley is a death trap. Uneven pavement, uneven lane demarcation, it’s dark, lanes are too thin, people driving too fast, etc.
Please town of Wellesley help out your residents and make this road modern and safe.

The Wellesley Fire Department is the best around. I have lived in Wellesley for over 30 years. This past year was a particular hard one for me. They had to be called 3 times to come to the house to take me to the ER. I fall a lot and this year was tough. But these fine men came to our home and took Great Care of me. I salute the Firefighters and the Emt’s.

Our wonderful Wellesley Firefighters always there protecting us when needed!
