Eyelash extension shop fluttering into Wellesley

December 20, 2017 by Bob Brown

Lash Lamour Wellesley

Lash L’Amour, an eyelash extension shop with locations on Newbury Street and Newton Center, is headed to Wellesley’s Belclare condo and retail complex on Washington Street. Expect Lash L’Amour, which has been in business since 2010, to add its Wellesley location in the spring of 2018.

You’ll not only be able to lengthen your lashes for anywhere from about $200 to $450 in a relaxing spa setting, but Lash L’Amour will also take care of your eyebrow and facial needs. So Wellesley-ites can become more high brow with eyebrow tinting or extensions, or treat themselves to facials and various waxings.

For the uninitiated (which included me until I read through Lash L’Amour’s website), a treatment can involve extending up to about 120 individual lashes per eye. Then you can return every 3 or 4 weeks and refill your lashes.

And if you want to make your lashes look even bigger, grab a pair of glasses at Agnes Vision, another retailer planning to fill space at the Belclare.

Lash L’Amour’s Cynthia Tsang says eyelash extensions are “no longer just for special occasions. Women want them for everyday wear.” Her clientele has expanded from people in their 30’s and up to those in their 20’s and up, she says.

Instead of hosting a grand opening party as it has done at its other locations, Lash L’Amour plans to offer a first-come-first-served day of complimentary services for those 21-plus when it opens.
