Wellesley Police on Monday afternoon investigated a robbery at Wellesley Bank in Lower Falls, just as nearby St. John’s Elementary School was letting out.
A bank employee called the police at 2:37pm, indicating that a male party had just robbed the bank. The employee described the suspect as a male, approximately 5’6” wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, a mask and gloves. Police were investigating whether a weapon was used.
When photographs of the suspect become available they will be posted at www.wellesleypolice.com and Mass Most Wanted.

The last bank robbery that went public in Wellesley took place in September at the Bank of America, also in Lower Falls, near the Newton line. A suspect has been caught in that case.
