Wellesley’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a group of trained and organized volunteers that respond to disasters at the neighborhood level.
The group is open to anyone from Wellesley who is at least 18 years old. Basic training consists of seven evening classes that cover basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. These classes are all on Tuesday evenings at 6pm at the Wellesley Fire Station at 457 Worcester St. The dates are 3/6, 3/13, 3/27, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1.
