The Wellesley Choral Society presents the second concert of its 70th Anniversary Season on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 7:00 pm at the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington St. This is also the Society’s annual Winter Cabaret Concert, which is dedicated entirely to American song – classical, popular and folk songs. Works by Copland, Bernstein, Gershwin, Stephen Foster, Barber and many more as well as folk songs such as Red River Valley and Let my People Go are on the program.
An original composition by Wellesley resident Wil Breden will also be performed. The event is in the style of a casual pops/cabaret concert. The audience is seated at tables and there will be complimentary refreshments, a silent auction and a sing-along.
Tickets available at the door: general admission $20, seniors/students $15, ages 12 and under free. The church is handicapped accessible and there is ample free parking in the church lot and on the street. Also please visit: www.
