Wellesley Service League Service Award application deadline is March 31

January 17, 2018 by Deborah Brown Leave a Comment

The Wellesley Service League has presented the annual Centennial Youth Service Award for the last 35 years. This award is given by the League for outstanding volunteer service, preferably in our community. The applicant should be a Wellesley resident, completing his or her senior year in high school, who has demonstrated unusual dedication and selflessness in a volunteer capacity. Ideally, this service has been performed in the immediate area. Our mission is to not only recognize outstanding volunteer service among our youth but also to encourage the spirit of volunteerism in our community. Wellesley Service League will name up to two recipients this year. Recipients will receive a $1,500 award from Wellesley Service League and their names will be engraved on a permanent plaque that hangs in the Wellesley Community Center.

How to apply for the Wellesley Service League Centennial Youth Service Award

1. Fill out the Centennial Youth Service Award application

2. Mentor recommendation: Please ask someone who has supervised you in the specific volunteer service that you are writing about to write your recommendation. (Mentor recommendation form attached below.)

3. The application deadline for the Centennial Youth Service Award is March 31, 2018.

4. Please have your application sent to: Beth Falk, Wellesley Service League, 36 Edgemoor Avenue, Wellesley, MA 02482 or email to: bethfalk60@gmail.com.
