Bates Elementary School, WellesleyKids aren’t the only ones in Wellesley getting report cards: the public school system gets them, too.

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has released its Report Card, which takes into consideration 2017 MCAS results as well as how well schools are doing in narrowing the gap between high performing and low performing students in an effort to help all students become proficient. The Wellesley schools as usual performed well compared to others in the state. Wellesley High, for example, performed better than 94% of schools in the state, with particularly good improvement in science.

The report card also covers teacher-to-student ratios, school attendance, ethnicity and more.

Type “Wellesley” into the field at the bottom of this DESE page to see how specific schools within the Wellesley Public School system fared.
