A handful of Massachusetts bigwigs, including Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, are coming to Wellesley on April 5 to celebrate the town’s designation as a Green Community.

Now sure, half the municipalities in the state have such a designation, but Wellesley does have a seemingly endless number of green efforts underway, from the food waste program to the streetlight LED effort.

You can bask in the town’s greenness at Town Hall on April 5. Just don’t drive over in a behemoth of an SUV…bad form.
