UPDATE (3/25/18): Sadly, Mica was found and has passed away. The dog’s owner wrote on FB: “Thank you to everyone – the kindness we’ve experienced outweighs our sadness and will make healing easier.”
We just heard from concerned Swellesley Report readers that Wellesley resident Bethany Giles Colavincenzo’s almost 13 year old dog, Mica, got out last night and did not return. On her Facebook page Colavincenzo writes, “We are in the Bates neighborhood and she was last seen on Martin Rd. heading toward Elmwood. We are desperately looking for her. She’s a red tri-Australian Shepherd with light brown and white markings on her face. She has a collar and microchip. We have connected with Sue Webb from animal control and have spent hours searching on foot. She is friendly and sweet and a beloved part of our family. Please help spread the word and reach out if you have any information. Thank you!”
If you have any information, contact Wellesley police at (781) 235-1212
We hope Mica finds her way home soon to her worried family.
