The owner of Prospero’s Shoe Repair in Wellesley has issued an apology for the shop’s unexplained recent temporary shutdown, and has offered to let people pick up their items for free.
The owner commented on our post about the tempest that was brewing among patrons who were upset that they couldn’t get their items and had no clue what was up because there was no sign at the shop and the phone number wasn’t working.
The owner writes:
Our apologies to our loyal customers for the abrupt closing of our shop at 294 Washington Street Wellesley during the period of March 20 through March 24th. Arrangements to post an appropriate sign and to facilitate a temporary “pick up only service” never materialized as planned.
In order to compensate our customers for this unintended inconvenience, all shoes and items that were due to be picked up during this period may be picked up free of charge. Any customer who was inconvenienced because of an attempted drop off during this closure is encouraged to return any time during the month of April to claim a 25% discount.
Thank you for your patience and we hope to earn your continued patronage.)
