Save the date: Wellesley Community Children’s Center Fun Run & Fun Fair on March 24

March 19, 2018 by admin Leave a Comment

The Wellesley Community Children’s Center invites you to its 38th annual Fun Run & Fun Fair, which takes place on Saturday, March 24 from 8:30 am -12:00 pm inside Wellesley College’s Keohane Sports Center.

Upon arrival, families receive their child’s racer number and event program. This number acts as a ticket to unlimited activities, multiple races for children ages 2-12 (from 50 yards to twice around the track), and face painting. While there will be plenty of noise at the volunteer-run event, there’s also a silent auction for adults, with prizes including Taylor Swift tickets for her July 27 concert in Foxborough. You can begin the bidding process now.

The entrance fee for 2-12 year-olds is $15 in advance online. Event day entrance fee is $17 per child. Family maximum is $55. Children under two and adults are free.

All proceeds from the event benefit programs for the Wellesley Community Children’s Center, which was established in 1971 to provide childcare and early learning for working families. At its Early Childhood Program on the Wellesley College Campus and After School sites in the Wellesley Public Schools, WCCC has grown to provide programs each year for over 400 children ages 3 months through 5th grade.
