The restaurant late last year said it was “targeting a mid-April opening date for the new location, just in time to cheer on Boston Marathon runners at the race’s halfway point.” We suppose it’s possible a few stragglers will still be trudging across the course in May, but not likely.
Anyway, business openings are an imperfect science, so no harm there. The restaurant has meanwhile given a nice behind-the-scenes peek, via Facebook, of where construction stands (with lots of exclamation points!).
Also of note: Smith & Wollensky in March will seek approval from the Board of Selectmen for an entertainment license. So we’re envisioning live music, so you can Shake & Steak.
