Starting April 8, the Wellesley Recycling & Disposal Facility will be open to residents on Sundays, 11am – 3pm. Sunday hours will continue through November.
In addition, starting Saturday, April 7, 9am – 1pm., paint may be dropped off for recycling at the RDF on the first Saturday of each month from April through October. The following materials are accepted: interior and exterior latex paint, interior and exterior oil based alkyd paint, and solidified paint. Materials that are not accepted are: creosote and turpentine, other solvents, and unmarked containers. These materials may be brought to the RDF on Household Hazardous Products Collection Day on Sunday, May 6. You can get your documents shredded for free that day as well.
The reusables area, also known as the give-and-take section of the dump, is slated to re-open with Saturday, April 14 as the target date, just so long as it stops snowing.
