Family members of all ages are invited to Family Day: Photos and Fragments on Saturday, April 28, 11am – 3pm at theDavis Museum at Wellesley College. This free event includes activities with inspiration drawn from current exhibitions, Fragment: A Museum’s Midcentury Legacy and Clarence H. White and His World: The Art and Craft of Photography, 1895-1925.
During Family Day, visitors can participate in treasure hunts in the galleries, story time, creation of sun prints, a photography demonstration with Wellesley students, a museum tour, and more. Light refreshments will be provided.
Schedule:
11am –3pm: Free art activities: sun prints, art projects made from vintage slides, sketching in the galleries, and a treasure hunt
11:3oam–2pm: Cyanotype demonstration with Wellesley College students
1 – 1:30pm: Story time and songs from Wellesley Free Library
2 – 2:45pm: Family tour of Fragment: A Museum’s Midcentury Legacy and Clarence H. White and His World: The Art and Craft of Photography, 1895-1925.
During April Vacation Week, (April 17-20), families are welcome to check out free multi-sensory art kits that will be available at the Davis Museum.
