Wellesley High School’s Rice Street Singers a cappella group looks to defend its crown on Season 4 of Sing That Thing! this Friday, April 27 at 8pm on WGBH 2. The episode will also feature gospel group Confirmation (directed by Dana Hall’s David Coleman.) and the Boston College Acoustics. After the performance, coaches will consider whether the Rice Street Singers will move on to perform in the finale later in the season, and will offer constructive feedback to the group.
The Rice Street Singers won the top spot in the high school category last season.

Rice Street and other talented Wellesley High School musicians put on a super performance last night at the WHS Spring Masterwork Concert! Under the direction/participation of Wellesley’s dedicated music educators (Dr. Kevin McDonald, Dr. Sergey Khanukaev, Steven Scott and Chad Weirck — a standing room only audience enjoyed the talented sounds of the WHS Song Sisters, Concert Choir, Brooks Brothers, Keynote Singers, Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. Especially impressive— when all the students performed a very professional rendition of Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C (K317)!
