Wellesley Police log for the week of March 26-April 1, 2018
On March 30, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Sgt. Gallagher was on a motor vehicle stop when he observed an Audi station wagon with a rejection sticker. He stopped the vehicle on Worcester Street and spoke with the operator, and requested his license and registration. A query of the driver’s information showed that his license was suspended. He was taken into custody, transported to the station, booked in the usual manner, afforded all rights and released on bail.
On March 26, 2018 at 1:39 p.m. Officer Cunningham was dispatched to a residence on Elmwood Road for a report of a sculpture the homeowner had in his back yard that was damaged. The reporting party stated the damage occurred overnight. There are no suspects.
On March 27, 2018 at 12:45 p.m. Officer R. Poirier was dispatched to a business on Central Street for a report of a past shoplifting incident. A store employee reported that a female party in her late 50’s purchased one piece of jewelry and stolen a second piece which was valued at $425.00. She stated that the female party used a credit card to make the purchase. Officer Poirier is investigating.
On March 27, 2018 at 5:28 p.m. Officer Keenan was dispatched to a residence on Wynnewood Road for a report of two male parties who had been on the property and were unknown to the reporting party. The reporting party stated her video security cameras captured images of the two men walking around the property at approximately 11:00 a.m. They attempted to gain access to a locked back yard area and then left. Officer Keenan is investigating.
On March 28, 2018 at 6:02 a.m. Officer Amalfi spoke with a female reporting party at the police station regarding identity theft. The reporting party stated that an unknown person had opened a PayPal account using her credit card information. She had already spoken to her credit card company and the credit reporting agency. She was provided with an identity theft resource guide.
On March 28, 2018 at 2:45 p.m. Officer K. Poirier spoke with a female reporting party who stated there was a fraudulent Craigslist advertisement stating that a property on Dunedin Road was for rent and the individual posing as the owner of the property was asking potential renters for money up front to view the property. Officer Poirier is investigating.
On March 28, 2018 at 3:57 p.m. Officer Joseph spoke with a female party who stated her phone was stolen from her place of employment and was used to withdraw money from her bank account. The report is incomplete at this time and no further information is available.
On March 29, 2018 at 12:02 p.m. 1:00 a.m. Officer Wagner was dispatched to a residence on Worcester Street for a report of an unknown party on the roof of the residence. Officers located a male party who turned out to be a family member attempted to gain entry into the residence through a window, via the roof. The male party had gone to a friend’s house and when he returned home the doors were locked.
