The Wellesley Free Library Foundation during Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend will kick off a townwide scavenger hunt designed to school people on Wellesley landmarks while also calling attention to big plans to transform the Hills branch library into a newfangled learning center.
The privately-funded library’s renovation begins in July and should be done by November. The library originally was a one-room schoolhouse, so will be returning to its roots as a educational venue.
Fells Finds scavenger hunt maps will be available at the Hunnewell Fun Fair on Friday, the pancake breakfast Saturday and here. The first 100 participants to complete the hunt will win a water bottle, and all participants will be entered to win a sundae party.
