This family-owned jeweler in Wellesley Square has a wide selection of diamonds, precious stones, estate collection, sterling silver, watches, and giftware. Their friendly, no-pressure staff can assist with appraisal services, custom designs, engraving, estate buying (diamonds, jewelry, watches, scrap), and jewelry cleaning, inspection, and repairs.
The sheer amount of estate jewelry at all price points is staggering. They’ve got it all — vintage charms; a wide selection of Tiffany & Co.; pearls, pearls, pearls (all the better for clutching, dahling); David Yurman; brooches; and more.
If new is more your style, look for Zina, Elyssa Bass Designs, Ed Levin, LeStage Cape Cod Jewelry, Anatoli, Dobbs of Boston, Breuning Sterling, Rembrandt Charms, Kit Heath, and more.
When selling unwanted odds and ends of jewelry and old sterling, they present the seller with an itemized list of each piece and an offer.
Fun fact: the Wellesley Historical Society honored Anderson’s Jewelers family
The Anderson family, which has owned Anderson’s Jewelers in Wellesley since 1947, was the toast of Wellesley Historical Society’s Swing into Spring fundraiser in May 2019 at the Wellesley Country Club.
The family’s store, which sits at the intersection of Grove and Washington Streets, once the home of Seiler’s Restaurant, was opened by John Walter Anderson. Vickie Anderson Mancini wrote in the event program that the family has adapted over time to various fashion trends from circle pins and charm bracelets to bold gold jewelry and chains inspired by the A-Team’s Mr. T back in the 1980s.
