We’ve been sent some cool animal videos and photos over the years, from coyotes to turkeys to hawks. But this video (sent from a reader who asked to remain anonymous) of what appears to be an otter trying to take down what appears to be an eel along the Brook Path near Hunnewell Elementary School has to be the best.
(If you have another interpretation of what these animals are, feel free to chime in.)
The biodiversity along the Fuller Brook is simply amazing. I have seen everything from fox, coyote, fisher cat, muscrat, otter, racoon, blue heron hunt up and down the brook…too many to name all the wildlife The four mile linear park is a true wildlife corridor. It’s a shame to propose night time lights and sounds right in the middle of the Fuller Brook Park. Over ⅔ of the mammels are nocturnal. Do people of Wellesley not care about nature? Such a shame.
