While it seemed most of Wellesley was off somewhere on vacation this weekend, we found a strong Wellesley presence on the Boston Common, where we attended the fantastic Emerson College radio WERS Wicked Good Festival.
The music festival, which got threatened by dark skies and a bit of rain, never succumbed. A crowd of old and young enjoyed music from the likes of Bleachers, Buffalo Tom, Juliana Hatfield, Anjimile and Jahriffe.
And then there was all this Wellesley stuff.
Also on the concert line-up: Air Traffic Controller, whose multi-instrumentalist (harmonica, keyboards and more on this day) Steve Scott is a Wellesley High School music teacher.

Among those keeping the very chill crowd safe was WW, an Emerson College employee and sometimes running companion of Mr. Swellesley.
And then there was George Knight, a Wellesley resident who headlines a morning show on WERS 88.9.
What a great event.
