The Elizabeth Seton Residence of Wellesley Hills will honor Father John J. Connelly of St. John the Evangelist parish in Wellesley Hills at its Annual Meet the Need Dinner on Thursday, October 11 at Wellesley Country Club from 6-10pm.
Father Connelly grew up attending St. Peter’s parish in Dorchester. He attended the Boston Latin School and Boston College before entering the US Army and serving in World War II. Connelly was called to serve at the Sacred Heart parish in Newton, where he was the pastor for 30 years until his retirement in 2013. He is now a priest in residence at St. John the Evangelist.
The Elizabeth Seton Residence welcomes the opportunity to recognize Fr. Connelly for his outstanding service to the shared communities of Newton, Wellesley and the Elizabeth Seton Residence.
